About Us

🌺 A TEEN-LED, TEEN-RUN, TEEN-VOICED MOVEMENT

Aanya Mukherjee – President, Co-founder

Aanya was inspired to create a mental health nonprofit after a rough experience in her freshman year. She was bullied by a group of girls and it had a huge impact on her mental health and she felt really isolated.

If the BYF Project can help just one person feel less alone, her mission will be accomplished.

Isaure Pajot – Vice President, Co-founder

Isaure co-founded the BYF project after facing mental health struggles from adapting to new cultures and friendships while immigrating between London and California. After having felt lost and alone due to her damaged self-esteem, Isaure has now healed with the support of genuine friends and a stronger self-image. She created this organisation to form a space where teens can connect, relate to experiences, and feel less alone – like she had previously hoped for.

Sabrina Kanli – Vice President, Co-founder

Sabrina decided to co-found the BYF Project after discovering the true value of self-compassion and the power meaningful relationships have on improving mental health. After struggling with anxiety and depression for the past 2 years, she has learnt that the tree really does fall the way it leans, and the people you surround yourself with is important, especially during adolescence. She wants this project to emulate the supportive environment that everyone deserves, no matter how they are feeling.
